OK, Body …

… Let’s have a chat, shall we?

We’ve been stuck at the same weight for five mornings now … AND THIS IS AFTER A SPLURGE! Usually, there’s at least a little water weight loss in the days following a splurge. What’s going on? We’ve been eating flawlessly!

Monday, we ate 1360 calories … and you gained half a pound for Tuesday morning. OK, I can understand this; you were probably a little dehydrated after Sunday when you didn’t drink that much on the drive back from the homeland (Understandable—just lookin’ at those public restrooms gives me an STD.)

Tuesday, we ate 1500 calories and you dropped a tenth of a pound. OK, that’s alright—we didn’t really sweat that day, just took some Yoga, and sometimes it takes a few days to kick it into gear.

Wednesday, 1620 calories and a run, Thursday 1500 calories AND TWO EXCERCISE SESSIONS, AND WHAT DO I GET OUT OF THOSE DAYS?! A TWO-TENTH OF A POUND DROP AND THEN NO LOSS!

WHAT IS GOING ON?!

Are we eating too much? Not enough? Too much excercise?

ARE YOU SNEAKING SNACKS AT NIGHT?!

Did I finally break my metabolism?!

Seriously, body … Thanksgiving is coming up. STEP TO IT.

(I’m really starting to freak a bit, though. Am I really not going to lose at all this week, the week I really need to shed a few pounds? This is the first time—that I can remember, anyway—that the scale has been stuck for this long while I’ve been eating well. I’m so freaked out right now that I’m suddenly incapable of losing weight, and its just going to accumulate and I’m going to have to diet for a prolonged period again after the holidays. It’s silly, BUT I’M FREAKED OUT RIGHT NOW OK.)
